Wipro is hiring an AI Engineer L1 in Hyderabad to develop machine learning and computer vision solutions. The role involves designing, training, testing and improving AI models for applications such as image classification, object detection, text analysis and prediction.

You will work with machine learning frameworks, programming languages and data processing platforms to build solutions for real-world problems involving large datasets. The position also involves prototyping, improving model performance, developing scalable AI systems and working with cross-functional teams.

What You’ll Do

• Research, design, develop and improve machine learning and computer vision algorithms.
• Build and test models for image classification, object detection and object recognition.
• Develop, train, evaluate and tune neural networks, including convolutional neural networks (CNNs).
• Build prototypes for applied AI and machine learning solutions based on customer and business requirements.
• Apply statistical modelling, data extraction and analysis to solve technical problems.
• Develop feature learning, text mining and prediction models using suitable machine learning methods.
• Help build scalable machine learning systems and data-driven products using large datasets.
• Work with solution teams and other stakeholders to develop and improve AI applications.
• Contribute to technical knowledge sharing, research activities and team development where required.

What You Need

• Experience or educational project work in Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence, within the stated 2–5 year range.
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Programming knowledge in one or more of Java, C++ or Python.
• Knowledge of deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Torch or Caffe.
• Familiarity with computer vision libraries or services such as OpenCV, Clarifai or Google Cloud Vision.
• Understanding of supervised and unsupervised learning.
• Knowledge of machine learning methods such as deep learning, support vector machines (SVM), random forests or collaborative filtering.
• Experience applying machine learning algorithms to real-world problems involving large datasets.
• Understanding of data processing platforms and tools such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Tableau, HBase or Kafka.
• Familiarity with cloud services from AWS, Microsoft, IBM or Google Cloud.

Preferred Qualifications

• An advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field.
• Familiarity with embedded vision processing systems.
• Experience with natural language processing, text understanding, classification, pattern recognition, recommendation systems, targeting or ranking systems.
• Experience building scalable AI applications and working with cross-functional teams.
• Contributions to machine learning research, including papers or work presented at conferences such as NeurIPS, ICML, ACL or CVPR.
