Amgen is hiring an Associate Fullstack Software Engineer for its Research and Development Project Portfolio Management (R&D PPM) Technology team in Hyderabad. The role focuses on building user-facing applications, connecting enterprise data sources, and improving internal technology solutions used to support R&D project portfolio management.
You will work with product owners, developers, designers, data teams, and business stakeholders. The work includes application development, low-code platforms, API integrations, technical documentation, testing, and production support. Amgen is looking for candidates with 2–4 years of relevant software, application, data, or technology experience.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain applications using platforms such as Smartsheet, Salesforce, Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
- Turn business requirements, user stories, wireframes, and designs into usable application interfaces and components.
- Connect applications to APIs, databases, enterprise data sources, and approved services.
- Work with data transformations, queries, and application data flows to keep information accurate and accessible.
- Develop prototypes and proofs of concept to test proposed user experiences and technical solutions.
- Follow source control, code review, CI/CD, security, and development standards.
- Investigate application and data integration issues, resolve defects, and support production systems.
- Maintain technical documentation covering requirements, configurations, integrations, data flows, and support procedures.
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, data engineers, analysts, and business teams during Agile delivery.
- Improve reusable components, application processes, and technology solutions across the team.
What You Need
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Approximately 2–4 years of relevant software development, application development, data, or technology experience.
- Professional experience developing or supporting software, data, or enterprise technology solutions.
- Experience with at least one enterprise application or low-code platform, such as Smartsheet or Microsoft Power Platform.
- Ability to turn business requirements or designs into functional application experiences.
- Experience integrating applications with APIs, databases, enterprise data sources, or other platforms.
- Working knowledge of data structures, transformations, data quality, authentication, authorization, and access controls.
- Experience with Agile or Scrum delivery practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate with global teams, manage multiple priorities, and learn unfamiliar technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building user interfaces or applications with Python-based web frameworks, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar technologies.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, or Power BI.
- Knowledge of Databricks, relational databases, governed APIs, or enterprise data platforms.
- Experience with AWS or cloud-hosted application and data services.
- Familiarity with GitLab, source control, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, monitoring, logging, and production support.
- Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), or SAML.
- Experience developing AI-enabled applications or integrating enterprise AI and machine learning services.
- Experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, research and development, or other regulated environments.
- Relevant certifications in Microsoft Power Platform, cloud computing, software development, DevOps, cybersecurity, or Agile. SAFe for Teams and Microsoft Power Platform certifications are listed as advantages.
