Bank of America is hiring apprentices for its Global Business Services and technology operations teams across India. The opportunity is open to eligible final-year B.E./B.Tech students graduating in 2027 who want to start a career in infrastructure support, production support, network operations, cloud operations, or technology services.
The role offers exposure to the systems and infrastructure that support the bank’s business applications. Depending on the team assigned, apprentices may work with infrastructure monitoring, Linux and Windows systems, networks, databases, incident management, application support, or DevOps automation.
Eligibility: B.E./B.Tech final-year students graduating in 2027, from Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology, with at least 80% in the last semester or a CGPA of 8/10 and no pending backlogs. Previous work experience is not required.
What You’ll Do
- Monitor infrastructure and applications, respond to alerts, and escalate incidents to senior team members when needed.
- Support systems running on networks, cloud platforms, Windows and Unix/Linux environments, databases, storage, and hosting infrastructure.
- Assist with incident management, problem resolution, service requests, change activities, and production support.
- Help investigate application failures, review logs, coordinate incident triage, and communicate updates to relevant teams.
- Support infrastructure provisioning, asset lifecycle activities, network service assurance, and system availability.
- Work with technology teams to improve operational processes and automate repetitive tasks.
- Maintain technical documentation, status reports, and records of incidents and service requests.
- Follow established procedures for security, operational controls, service continuity, and escalation.
Possible Technology Teams
- Infrastructure and Hosting: Windows, Unix/Linux, cloud operations, infrastructure capacity, storage, and database management.
- Network Services: Network routing, switching, internal and external network management, and service assurance.
- Production Support: Application monitoring, incident coordination, problem management, log analysis, and service restoration.
- Mainframe Services: Mainframe engineering and operations.
- Business Operations: Business management, financial management, risk and controls, and infrastructure project support.
The final team and responsibilities will depend on the employer’s interview and evaluation process.
What You Need
- Be a final-year B.E./B.Tech student graduating in 2027.
- Have a degree specialization in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology.
- Score at least 80% in the last semester or have a CGPA of 8/10, with no pending backlogs.
- Be an Indian citizen residing in India.
- Be willing to accept the role and location assigned through the selection process.
- Be willing to work night shifts or rotational shifts when required by the business.
- Be at least 18 years old.
Technical Knowledge
- Basic programming or scripting knowledge, such as Python, JavaScript, XML, or Windows PowerShell.
- Familiarity with Windows or Linux commands and operating system fundamentals.
- Basic SQL and database knowledge.
- Understanding of infrastructure monitoring, networking, cloud or DevOps concepts is useful.
- Analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and clear communication.
Preferred Skills
- Production support and incident management.
- DevOps practices and automation.
- Application and infrastructure architecture.
- Monitoring tools such as Splunk or Dynatrace.
- Networking, Linux, Windows Server, VMware, firewalls, and shell scripting.
- Ability to work with teams across locations and follow operational procedures.
