Microsoft is hiring a Software Engineer II for its Commercial Sales Experiences (CSX) Engineering team in Hyderabad. The position focuses on developing full-stack enterprise applications, cloud-based services, and AI-powered solutions that support Microsoft’s commercial sales teams.

What You’ll Do
- Develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications and database components.
- Build scalable, secure software using established engineering standards and design patterns.
- Develop AI-powered application features and intelligent solutions using tools such as GitHub Copilot and Azure AI services.
- Design application components, APIs, and services that meet architectural and security requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and business stakeholders to deliver software.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, automated testing, and documentation.
- Monitor production systems, investigate incidents, identify root causes, and improve service reliability.
- Improve application performance, scalability, operational efficiency, and cloud infrastructure costs.
- Identify opportunities to automate development workflows and improve engineering processes.
- Contribute to sprint and quarterly planning, estimate development effort, track risks, and communicate project progress.
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, with at least five years of technical engineering experience involving coding, or equivalent experience.
- Programming experience with C#, JavaScript, Python, or comparable languages.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including application design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Ability to develop maintainable, secure, and scalable software solutions.
- Experience collaborating with engineers and other stakeholders to deliver technical projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience building commercial software and delivering software products or services.
- Experience with cloud architecture, microservices, loosely coupled systems, and DevOps practices.
- Proficiency in C#, .NET, REST APIs, React, JavaScript or TypeScript, and automated testing frameworks.
- Experience using AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Copilot CLI or SDK, Claude CLI, or comparable platforms to improve software development workflows.
- Experience building AI-powered applications or agents using ASP.NET, Azure AI services, Azure AI Foundry, or equivalent frameworks.
- Knowledge of Azure cloud services, including Web Apps, Function Apps, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Container Apps, API Management, Service Bus, Event Hubs, and Azure Front Door.
- Experience with Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Synapse, NoSQL databases, source control, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working in global Agile teams or startup-style engineering environments.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform or Dynamics 365 is an added advantage.

The Commercial Sales Experiences Engineering team builds applications and engineering solutions used by Microsoft’s commercial sales organisation. The team develops tools that help sales teams work with Microsoft’s cloud and AI offerings and support customers in getting value from their technology investments.
