Previous mentoring, technical leadership, or engineering team leadership experience is also required.
What You’ll Do
- Design and develop distributed systems that handle high workloads while maintaining reliability, scalability, and fault tolerance.
- Build high-availability services that manage application state across multiple geographic regions.
- Design approaches for cross-region data consistency, caching, and distributed transactions.
- Lead engineering initiatives from system architecture and planning through implementation and delivery.
- Develop and maintain cloud-native services that support seller registration, identity verification, and marketplace compliance.
- Mentor engineers, review technical approaches, and help maintain engineering standards.
- Work with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical problems and establish system design direction.
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines and apply DevOps practices to improve software delivery and operations.
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualification.
- At least 5 years of professional, non-internship software development experience.
- At least 5 years of programming experience in one or more software programming languages.
- At least 5 years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scalability.
- Experience mentoring engineers, working as a technical lead, or leading an engineering team.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience across the software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Experience with security protocols and identity management systems.
- Experience designing event-driven architectures and asynchronous processing systems.
- Experience building and operating services across multiple geographic regions.
