Amazon is hiring a Transportation Specialist I for its Relay Operation Centre (ROC) in Hyderabad. ROC manages transportation execution across Amazon’s supply chain, including freight movement between vendors, fulfillment centers and carrier hubs.
The role involves coordinating with carriers, vendors, shippers, drivers and Amazon teams to resolve transportation issues. Work covers inbound and outbound operations, including appointment changes, delivery disruptions, load scheduling, network capacity and equipment-related activities.
This is a 24/7 operation with rotational shifts and supports North America and Europe. The position uses a mix of voice and non-voice communication.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate with carriers, vendors, shippers, drivers and Amazon teams to resolve transportation issues.
- Handle inbound and outbound transportation activities across the Amazon network.
- Manage issues involving appointments, rescheduling, in-transit disruptions and weather-related transportation problems.
- Support load scheduling, load cancellations and network capacity activities.
- Research information using internal Amazon tools and make real-time decisions.
- Identify the business impact of transportation problems and escalate issues to the appropriate teams.
- Monitor network trends and support process improvements.
- Use Outlook, Word and Excel while maintaining required quality and productivity standards.
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or technical field such as Computer Science, Engineering or Statistics.
- Experience with Excel.
- Experience with SQL.
- 0–5 years of experience in customer support or operations support.
- Freshers without prior experience can apply if they have strong English communication skills.
- Basic understanding of logistics.
- Ability to communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
- Ability to analyze information and make decisions using available data.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Excel.
