TriNet is hiring an Associate Software Engineer for its Hyderabad team. The role focuses on developing and improving applications, platform capabilities and integrations. Candidates will work across development, testing, debugging and issue resolution as part of the software development lifecycle.
The position is suited to candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field and less than 2 years of product or platform development experience. The role also requires hands-on exposure to Generative AI, RAG and AI agent development, along with programming experience in Java, Python or another object-oriented language.
What You’ll Do
- Develop new products and solutions and improve existing applications and platforms.
- Contribute to software development, testing, troubleshooting and debugging throughout the SDLC.
- Write code following established engineering standards and best practices.
- Create unit tests and automated test scripts as part of a test-driven development approach.
- Use coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code for code generation, review and test creation.
- Build prototypes and proof-of-concepts to test new ideas and technical solutions.
- Work independently and collaborate with geographically distributed teams.
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
- Less than 2 years of experience developing products or platforms using UI or backend web technologies.
- Software development experience with Java, Python or another object-oriented programming language.
- Experience with modern UI frameworks such as AngularJS or ReactJS.
- Understanding of software engineering principles, data structures and testing methods.
- Hands-on experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Generative AI technologies and AI agent development.
- Understanding of UI and backend architectures and coding best practices.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Ability to work effectively with distributed teams.
