Amazon is hiring an Associate II, ML Data Operations for its GO-AI Operations team in Hyderabad. This is a non-technical operational role supporting machine learning through human-generated and reviewed training data.

The work involves annotating and validating text, images, video and audio data used to train and evaluate machine learning and large language models. The role also involves reviewing ambiguous cases, following detailed annotation guidelines, identifying process issues and helping improve data quality.

The position is offered on a contractual basis, with the possibility of moving to a full-time role depending on performance and business requirements. The role is based in Amazon’s Hyderabad office and operates in a 24×7 environment.

What You’ll Do

• Annotate and validate text, image and video data according to project guidelines.
• Perform tasks such as object detection, semantic segmentation, video object tracking and open-text evaluation.
• Work on LLM annotation and dialogue evaluation using Amazon’s internal generative AI tools.
• Review data for errors and maintain accuracy and consistency across annotation projects.
• Research information from multiple sources and write basic prompts to gather and synthesize information.
• Handle ambiguous cases by applying available guidelines and proposing consistent solutions when the guidelines do not cover a situation.
• Move between 2–3 programs when required and provide training or peer feedback to other associates.
• Identify workflow bottlenecks and contribute to better SOPs, audit methods, checklists and testing processes.

What You Need

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• 0.6–5 years of experience in data transcription, data annotation, natural language data labeling, linguistic annotation or similar data-markup work.
• Strong English proficiency, including business writing skills.
• Experience working with text, image, video and audio data.
• Experience with computer applications and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to research information, write basic prompts and combine information from multiple sources.
• Good organization, time management and communication skills.
• Ability to work with remote and multicultural teams while meeting individual productivity targets.

Work Schedule

• 24×7 operational environment with rotational shifts.
• 9-hour shift at the Hyderabad office.
• Shift and break timings may change every 3–4 months or based on business requirements.
• Night-shift allowance is provided according to Amazon’s applicable work policy.
• Five working days with two consecutive rotational days off. Weekly offs may not fall on Saturday and Sunday.
• Selected candidates receive a structured one-week training program before deployment.
