Amazon is hiring a Software Development Engineer II for its Selling Partner Identity Verification (SPIV) team in Hyderabad. The team builds and maintains systems that verify seller identities, support secure account registration, and manage account lifecycles across Amazon’s businesses.
The role focuses on software development and large-scale distributed systems. Engineers work on systems that need to handle high volumes of activity while maintaining security, accuracy, reliability, and a smooth experience for legitimate customers and sellers.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain software systems supporting identity verification and account lifecycle management.
- Work on distributed systems designed to serve large numbers of customers and business users.
- Apply computer science fundamentals to software design and engineering problems.
- Design systems with attention to reliability, scalability, and established design patterns.
- Build and maintain complex software applications and web service-based systems.
- Contribute to software development activities across coding, testing, code reviews, deployment, and operations.
What You Need
- At least 3 years of professional software development experience, excluding internships.
- At least 2 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scalability.
- At least 3 years of experience building complex software systems.
- Programming experience in at least one software development language.
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals.
- Practical experience with large-scale distributed systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience across the software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience developing web service-based applications at scale.
